Base Camp Leasing has a 176-acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Herkimer County, New York. I have not inspected this property yet, will when snow is gone. This hunting lease is about 5 miles south of Herkimer. Landowner stated property always has some really nice bucks and lots of turkeys. The farm fields in the aerial picture have not been worked in several years (mostly golden rod). The landowner sent me some pics from a friend he let hunt the property in the past. He took some nice bucks and turkey off the property. There are apple trees, pine areas, hickory and oak on the property. The huting lease is surrounded by working agriculture fields. The lease has 19 acres south of the road and 157 north. Not in 2026 but maybe in the next couple years there is potential for a windmill to be put on property (site is about 1000 feet of road and should not impede hunting). No solid plans right now. ATV use and camping are allowed for hunting purposes only. Get with landowner for camping spot. Landowner will also allow food plots! This area has an excellent deer and turkey population.
